YOUTH SERVICES

When a family needs support for their youth, the Youth Worker meets with the family and the Case Manager to understand what kind of help is needed. They also gather information from the Case Managers, especially if the child or youth has specific needs.

Youth Workers do school outreach to connect with students and conduct assessmentsto identify areas where support is needed — such as addictions, emotional struggles, grief, anger, shame, or bullying.

Once needs are identified, the Youth Worker creates a case plan that focuses on building life skills and social skills, and develops youth activities that help them grow in healthy, positive ways.

They may also build a team of support or specialized workers for certain activities, and they provide monthly reports to the Jordan’s Principle Coordinator to track progress and ensure ongoing support.
